Online review sites’ credibility gap

I have seen a significant increase in people contacting us at Reputation Changer as a result of online review sites. Most of these people complain that a small number of negative reviews seems to be represented unfairly prominently or that false or outdated criticism inaccurately portrays their organization.

I think review sites like Yelp! and Google’s offerings have a lot of potential to help consumers make good decisions and to provide valuable feedback to business but without some system of authentication, validation and moderation then the content on these sites will ultimately lose credibility.
